WHY IMMO OFF DOES NOT WORK?
DONT FORGET !! All different flashers read in their own format. You can compare the files you read and write and understand how your flasher reads them and use them with other devices. But the general rule is to write with whatever flasher you read with and always do Checksum.
VR read NR read etc.or Partial OBD files not enough for immo off
1. The first condition is that the original ecu and the ecu to be used must be 100% the same. You can understand this by comparing the label picture of the ecu. The HW number shown here is the hardware number of the ecu. The SW number is the software version number. If these are the same but still do not work, CODING must be checked.in VAG you can convert ecu with frf/sgo method after immo off.Other brands some possible with dealer REPROGRAMMING methods with current car vin info.BUT MAIN RULE ECU HW numbers MUST BE %100 SAME
2. If the programs in the ecu have been tampered with before (such as clone or incorrect immo off) or if there is a break while programming, immo off will not work.PLEASE ASK TO CUSTOMER ECU HISTORY (from other shops too)
3. Key and Dash or BCM or EZS must be match in newer cars to CRANK ,if car does not crank IMMO OFF WILL NOT WORK .Because immo off RELEASE ECU START NOT KEY START -you can try bypass start relay method in fuse box engine bay-
4. Immo off actions are done in Engine ECU, and that mean ECU RELEASE start signal, but you may need to give start (CRANK) signal to car when key ignition turn on
5. If Car key is not matched with Dash or BCM some extra problems are not unusual like dash immo message and windows car not working for example in Audi cars
6. Main rule, remove immobox connector or immobox coil connector or sometime cut immo line from ecu or wires if needed by immo off method
7. Need good MCUID in newer ecu types. It's your responsibility ensure the HW is compatible and also the SW is 100% compatible with your vehicle
8. Need checksum (many flasher can do it automatic while writing the file, other not, but you can find some free checksum tool in download section too)
9. VERY IMPORTANT !!! Some new ecu types are non clonable 1:1 like older ecus, now they have many anti-tamper methods (SHE,MCU ID,PASSWORD,OTP ETC) If you dont know it and someone before you tried to clone or messed with original dumps then ecu can be unuseable. NON RESTORABLE TOO. Need new used SAME ecu
You will probably notice it when you cannot read or write to it because of lost/unrecoverable PASSWORD and disabled SERVICE MODE after wrong flashing This is not newbie friendly procedure, be warned and be sure you always work on the safe side respecting some basic rules
10. When you get support , be sure to email (caliskan71@gmail.com) the vehicle's past failure history and all the details with your user number. Please send the vehicle's brand model, production year, engine type,Gear type, ecu image and full files.
WHY SAFE ERROR APPEAR ON DASH AFTER IMMO OFF?
There may be more than one reason why the "SAFE" message appears on the screen after the immo off process in VAG group vehicles.
But usually the main reason comes from communication failure between BCM or DASH and the KEY.
The reason for the error messages on the screen is 99% not caused by the ECU
If you do not want to receive such messages on the screen you will need to add a key to BCM or DASH or repair bcm/dash to key communication
This message may also appear in some cases with incompatible engine ECU type.
This could also happen if only flash immo-off is done on old type VAG ECUs. In these kind of ECUs you may prefer to perform immo-off in EEPROM.
The same applies to PSA and other brand vehicles.
WHAT IS THE MCUID?
Some immo off operations (specially new generation ECUs) need MCU ID to be performed. You cannot change MCU ID it is OTP (One Time Programmable). You can see the MCUID information on the main screen or in the file name while reading the ECU with the flasher.
It can be like 400XXX ...0000, usually consisting of 16 or 32 hexadecimal characters. This information can also be encrypted in the files. Some devices show the MCUID information incorrectly. In this case, the immo off file does not work in the vehicle. It closes the ECU communication.
4B46915100001820 is not a valid MCUID! Some tools label this as a CHIP/CPU ID, but you need the MCUID which is unique and in MD1/MG1 units it begins with 40xx 43xx etc .MCU ID number is usually 16 or 32 characters long.
It contains only hexadecimal characters. IDs containing any other characters are definitely corrupt.

The immo systems in new vehicles are not as old-fashioned as before.
In classic old vehicles, even if there is a key fault, you can start the vehicle by disable the immo. But the new systems are not like this.
In order for the vehicle to work, the key must be synchronously matched with the BCM or dashboard.
In addition, the steering column lock called ESL, SCL in the system must also work fully or be deactivated with an emulator or canceled from the BCM unit.
Remember that if the vehicle does not CRANK,(mean starter motor not start) the ecu with the immo disabled will not be activated to work and the vehicle will not start.
WHY SOME FILES COULD BE WRONG?
Every flasher use different read/write methods. For example KESS3 have many bug after last update. PCR 2.1 MD1CS003 etc.Autotuner not made checksum and not properly done procedure to flash back whole ecu backup
Need make checksum on immo off iflash dump, then rename to iflash0.bin and insert again in the backup zip file, then flash whole zip file not separate files by autotuner
KT200 may read bad MCUID. OBD read files/partial Virtual files does not include immo blocks. We prefer Flex/PCMFlash flasher for best clean dump files and good well known programmers for external eeprom reading when needed (older ECUs)
SPECIAL NOTES
Valeo 56.xx very sensitive ecus.First thing Original and Used parts MUST BE same numbers AND SAME CODING Compare please both ecu label photos and codings.Which flasher is used for reading and writing ? Every flasher read and write different because. We prefer Autotuner Boot mode or Flex (unlocked mode)
Are you sure mcu id valid ? Has anyone touched files before ? Or did you try before clon etc ? If someone try clon before ecu can be kill and give "INTERNAL ERROR".Look please "WHY IMMO OFF DOES NOT WORK?"
MD1CS006 and MD1CS016 Virgin (available only original ecu not for used ecus because SHE module)
Renault NISSAN BCM : If you delete the keys in the BCM of the key codes, the vehicle will not start, the immo off will not help you.COMMON PROBLEM IN RENAULT/NISSAN you need bypass starter relay and wire modifie after start
EDC17C74,MD1CS006,MD1CS003 not clonable
HOW SHOULD READ 93Cxx 16bit or 8bit?
As general rule...
Read/write as 16 bit if...The pin 6 (ORG) is connected to pin 8 (VCC) or The pin 6 (ORG) is left unconnected.
Read/write as 8 bit if... The pin 6 (ORG) is connected to pin 5 (GND)
